Job Summary
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities, then develop individualized treatment plans based on their needs and goals. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve skills while monitoring and documenting progress to adjust plans as needed. Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing techniques, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Stay up-to-date with field advancements and incorporate new techniques into practice. This role supports adult and geriatric populations across two facilities approximately 12 miles apart, requiring travel between sites.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Willingness to travel between two facilities approximately 12 miles apart
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations preferred
