Job Summary
Support physician-ordered evaluations and interventions for communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting. Provide evidence-based SLP services across hospital units, including ICU and medical/surgical floors, while contributing to multidisciplinary care for medically complex patients. Aid in improving functional outcomes and discharge planning for diverse medical and surgical diagnoses. This travel assignment in Cumming, GA requires a Master's degree, CCC-SLP, and an active Georgia license. Schedule generally runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM across five 8-hour shifts. Weekly pay, full medical benefits, 401(k) matching, and 100% paid housing are included.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year
- current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Active Georgia SLP license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 15–18 months of recent acute care SLP experience
- Experience supporting a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive disorders
- Must be willing to support acute care patients across hospital units, including ICU and medical/surgical floors
Desired Qualifications
- Prior acute care hospital experience supporting patients throughout the hospital
- Proficiency in dysphagia evaluation and intervention, including instrumental assessments if available
- MBS/FEES proficiency
