Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Provide speech-language pathology services in skilled nursing facilities as a travel contract SLP. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, caregiver education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with emphasis on dysphagia management and documentation. May split time between two sister facilities ~10 minutes apart; benefits include weekly pay, medical options, 401(k) matching, recruiter support, housing options when applicable, travel and license reimbursement. Requires Masterfs degree in SLP, CFY/CCC-SLP or equivalent, Alabama licensure, and BLS; experience in SNF/long-term care and dysphagia preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Masterfs Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or equivalent clinical experience as required by the facility
- Active Alabama SLP license required to begin the assignment
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Experience with dysphagia management, diet modifications, and instrumental assessments such as FEES or modified barium swallow protocols preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records used in skilled nursing settings preferred
- Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills preferred
