Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist needed for a travel contract at a skilled nursing facility in Gallup, NM. Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with an experienced therapy team, and support patient-centered care in a long-term and post-acute setting. Role emphasizes DSP-based clinical work, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to maintain flow of care and ensure guaranteed hours. Positions require Master’s degree in SLP, CFY/CCC, NM licensure (or eligibility), and BLS, with preferred experience in dysphagia and cognitive-communication within SNF settings; travel with housing and license reimbursement provided.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active New Mexico state license or ability to obtain before start of assignment
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to meet 90% productivity requirement as required by facility policy
- Willingness to follow facility policies and procedures and to be present in the building to receive guaranteed hours (client-specific requirement)
