Job Summary
Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient patients, document in the electronic health record, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals. Provide medically based speech and language therapy to a predominantly Native American population across the lifespan, focusing on communication, cognition, and swallowing function. Shift days are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend services are not available.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Must be able to assess and treat patients across the lifespan, from birth through geriatric
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing services in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings
- Experience working with Native American populations
- Prior experience with medically based dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Experience with electronic health record documentation in an acute care or hospital setting
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams and physicians
