Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and document progress to support patient outcomes. Conduct assessment, individualized treatment planning, and outcome-driven documentation for a medically complex population in a skilled nursing facility. Shift hours are 0800-1630, Monday through Friday. This travel assignment places you in Ashland, VA, a historic town near Richmond with access to outdoor trails and regional transit.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Virginia state SLP license
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience providing SLP services in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental assessments (e.g., FEES or MBS)
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation for skilled nursing facilities
- Prior travel or contract SLP experience
