Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and document treatment progress to support patient outcomes. Provide skilled SLP services that improve functional outcomes and quality of life for residents in a Brooklyn, NY skilled nursing facility. This assignment requires a Master's degree, CCC, and active NY license, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 08:30–16:30.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active New York state SLP license
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental assessments such as FEES or MBS interpretation
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and standardized outcome measures
