Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist role to provide assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating dysphagia and cognitive-communication therapy, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting patient progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Requires Master’s degree in SLP, CFY and CCC from ASHA, and active Rhode Island licensure (or ability to obtain). BLS may be required. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Rhode Island state license or ability to obtain license prior to start
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Experience providing skilled nursing facility care preferred, including dysphagia management and cognitive-communication therapy
- Experience with common SNF documentation systems and Medicare/Medicaid documentation requirements preferred
