Job Summary
Provide evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for residents in a skilled nursing/post-acute care setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Role includes delivering services, collaborating with nursing and therapy teams, maintaining accurate documentation to support functional outcomes and regulatory compliance, and credentialing processes for a 35-hour-per-week contract that may be temporary or permanent. Requires MS in SLP, CFY/CCC, and Alabama licensure; BLS may be required. Location: Dothan, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent experience
- Active Alabama state SLP license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC
