Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct bedside swallow evaluations, perform communication and swallowing disorder treatments, and support caseloads in acute care and 26-bed inpatient rehabilitation units. Use Meditech for documentation and TIMS equipment as available while wearing gray scrubs. Provide essential speech-language pathology services across both settings to influence patient recovery after stroke and trauma through evidence-based interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support functional outcomes and patient safety. Work 0800–1700 shifts Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred, covering both acute care and rehab units.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Missouri state SLP license
- BLS certification
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations
Desired Qualifications
- experience with video swallowing assessments
- Experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Experience in level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke care environments
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Experience using TIMS equipment
- Willingness to work rotating weekends
