Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for acute care and inpatient rehab units in Kansas City, MO. Provide evaluations and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders, perform bedside swallow evaluations, and support both acute and 26-bed inpatient rehabilitation caseloads in a level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke facility. Use Meditech for documentation and TIMS equipment as available. Gray scrubs are the required uniform. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support functional outcomes and patient safety, and rotating weekends as preferred by the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active Missouri state SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations; experience with video swallowing assessments preferred.
- Experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
