Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist role evaluating and treating patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing environment in Lewistown, MO. Responsibilities include executing standardized assessments, developing and adjusting evidence-based plans of care, documenting per regulatory and clinical requirements, supervising CFY or student SLPs, and providing discharge summaries. Requires CCC from ASHA, CFY/Level II experience (or documented), Master’s in SLP, MO license or compact licensure, and a minimum of 1 year SLP experience in LTC/rehab. Schedule is M-F, 8-hour days with start times before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM; 35 guaranteed work weeks and limited weekend requirements. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent Level II clinical experience. New graduates acceptable if CFY/Level II documented; Level I observation alone not sufficient.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required.
- Active Missouri state license or compact licensure where applicable. State licensure required to start the assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience. Experience in long term care (LTC) or skilled nursing/rehab settings is required.
- Ability to perform standardized assessments, develop and adjust evidence-based plans of care, document per regulatory and clinical requirements, and accurately record treatment minutes in electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to supervise and support CFY or student SLPs.
- Adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and management in a long term care or rehabilitation population.
- Prior experience documenting in electronic medical record systems used in skilled nursing settings.
