Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Provide evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient-centered rehabilitation in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a travel contract. Deliver evidence-based SLP services to residents, document progress and outcomes, and work within the facility’s regulatory standards. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders, collaborating with nurses, therapists, and support staff, and utilizing electronic medical records. Minimum qualifications include an ASHA-CCC with CFY, active Ohio licensure, and BLS; preferred qualifications include prior travel SLP experience and familiarity with SNF EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Ohio SLP license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute settings preferred
- Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders preferred
