Job Summary
Travel Speech-Language Pathologist providing evaluations and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care and inpatient rehab unit within a level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke facility. Conduct bedside swallow evaluations, support caseload across acute care and inpatient rehab, utilize Meditech for documentation and TIMS equipment as available, rotate weekends as preferred by the unit, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Staffing supports collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to influence patient recovery and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Missouri state SLP license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations; experience with video swallowing assessments preferred
- Experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred
