Job Summary
School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist role conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students; developing and implementing individualized therapy plans; providing direct therapy to improve articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and fluency; participating in IEP meetings; collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals; maintaining documentation in compliance with regulatory standards; providing consultation to teachers and parents on strategies; opportunities for statewide flexibility with on-site, hybrid, or remote options; W2 employment with benefits and potential for 12-month salaried pay; licensure across states where applicable; ongoing professional development; priority on student-centered services and collaborative teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license in the state where you are applying
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for CCC
- Some states may also require a school-specific credential such as a Washington ESA certificate
- SLPs applying to work in states they do not reside in must hold a state license in both the state where they live and the state where they are applying
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
