Job Summary
Provide school-based speech-language pathology services to students; conduct assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders; develop and implement individualized therapy plans; deliver direct therapy to address articulation, language, social communication, and fluency goals; participate in IEP meetings to support student goals; collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents; maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards; provide consultation to teachers, staff, and parents on strategies to facilitate communication development; engage in ongoing professional development; typical role includes opportunities for 12-month salaried pay, W2 employment, and full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license in the state where you are applying
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for CCC
- SLPs applying to work in states they do not reside in must hold a state license in both the state where they live and the state where they are applying
Additional Requirements
- Some states may also require a school-specific credential such as a Washington ESA certificate
