Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment programs for individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders under physician direction. Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in acute and outpatient settings while supervising other Speech-Language Pathologists. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure patient safety and adherence to service standards. This role supports Mount Sinai Queens' mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation services across the department.
Required Qualifications
- Speech-Language Pathologist certification or licensure (implied by title and scope of practice)
- Knowledge of disorders of the comprehension and production of speech and language
- Ability to plan, conduct, and evaluate treatment programs
- Assessment and treatment skills for cognitive, speech, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to provide high quality, safe, and compassionate patient care
- Ability to supervise the work done by other SLPs
- Collaboration skills with interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Adherence to Patient First Service Standards
