Job Summary

Provide evaluation and treatment services for patients, residents, outpatients, and participants as ordered by qualified medical practitioners. Complete required documentation, ensure notes are informative and descriptive of care provided and resident responses, and seek renewal of orders as needed. Communicate effectively with the Interdisciplinary Care Team, participate in care plan meetings and rounds, and assist with resident scheduling. Maintain equipment in good working order, report problems to the Therapy Coordinator, and communicate actual or potential issues to the coordinator promptly. Provide guidance and training for therapy and nursing staff, support in-service education, and act as a Clinical Instructor for SLP students. Model positive, proactive, team-oriented behavior and uphold SLP standards while performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation Services or Therapy Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

  • M.A./M.S. or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Desired Qualifications

  • Two years experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred
  • experience with adult and geriatric populations preferred
  • CPR certification preferred
