Job Summary

Screen, assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for students ages 5 to 22 with complex needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals, while tracking student progress and conducting triennial evaluations. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure skill carryover, utilizing Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) strategies and culturally responsive communication. Complete Medicaid documentation, service hour logs, and reports within required timelines. May supervise college students for clinical field experience or a Clinical Fellowship Year as requested. This full-time, year-round role includes both the regular school year and summer session, offering moderate caseloads, trainings, and educational reimbursement.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Connecticut Department of Public Health SLP licensure (or pending)
  • ASHA Certification (or Clinical Fellowship Year in progress)
  • CT State Department of Education 061 Certification (or pending)
  • CPR Certification (required within 90 days of hire; training provided by Solterra Academy)
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by Solterra Academy)
