Job Summary
Perform speech, language, and swallowing evaluations, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), for adult acute care and NICU patients. Provide treatment for dysphagia and communication disorders while monitoring progress to adjust care plans. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Cerner. Manage a caseload of 9–10 patients daily during 5x8 day shifts starting at 8:00 AM. Requires an active California SLP license, BLS certification, and experience with swallow studies. This assignment offers a 13-week contract at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, combining critical care exposure with NICU feeding support.
Required Qualifications
- Active California SLP License
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Experience in Modified Video Swallow Studies (MBSS) – REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccine required
- Crisis protocol compliance required
