Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Tri-County Regional Centre for Education. Responsibilities include collaborative consultation with school-based teams, informal and formal assessment, development of program plans to increase student success for those with communication needs, and providing treatment. Works closely with teachers, teacher assistants, administrative staff, other professionals, and parents. Occasional travel to other schools within the Tri-Counties. Live in South-West Nova Scotia. Required Qualifications
- Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders or equivalent Master Degree
- Eligible for certification by the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Eligible for certification by Teacher Certification - Nova Scotia Department of Education
- Training in Assistive Technology
- WHMIS and First Aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Proven ability to communicate and work alongside diverse cultural and racial backgrounds
