Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services within a multidisciplinary team, serving adults and children with communication challenges. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing/confirming communication disorders, screening for hearing issues, implementing intervention plans, providing direct skills training, coordinating with families and community resources, collaborating with an inter-disciplinary team, delivering services to individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging mental health, developing and monitoring pathology protocols, offering outreach and time-limited training, maintaining documentation (referrals, assessment findings, Individual Training Plans, progress reports), coordinating referrals to external consultants, and adhering to clinical guidelines and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or Communication Sciences and Disorders)
- Current CASLPO registration
- Minimum two (2) years experience providing professional speech/language therapy
- Experience with communication disorders, adults with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Augmentative/alternative communication expertise for nonverbal individuals with autism
- Feeding and swallowing assessments, IDDSI familiarity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a clinical team
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
