Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab in speech therapy for patients in a post-acute care setting under physician referral, delivering care per Life Care standards. Responsibilities include establishing, assessing, and modifying measurable goals; overseeing/assessing CFYs if applicable; following approved treatment plans under supervision; charting timely; using therapy software; delivering excellent patient service; coordinating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies. Requires MS or MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, active state licensure, CPR certification, and proficiency with Word/Excel; new grads welcome to apply and one year of experience preferred. SLP CFYs may follow plans under supervision; role is in-person at the Hilo location. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- MS or MA in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCCs or eligible for CFY
- Current state license in good standing
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work with patients and families; liaison with multidisciplinary team
- Ability to follow speech therapy treatment plans and adhere to federal/state guidelines
- Ability to chart appropriately and timely
- Sufficient communication skills in English
- Commitment to Life Care standards and Code of Conduct
