Job Summary
Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver skilled interventions for patients across medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry, and specialty units. Participate in interdisciplinary discussions to recommend NPO status, diet levels, and instrumental assessments while documenting all activities timely and accurately in the electronic medical record. Complete patient, family, and staff education regarding communication, cognition, and swallowing as appropriate. Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within the team. This PRN role requires at least one year of NICU experience with MBSS competency, current state licensure, and CCC certification. We offer weekday and weekend rates starting at $60/hour, with a robust support system including new graduate programs and board certification mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- at least 1 year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience
- demonstrated competence in all gestational ages
- MBSS competency for the ability to work both NICU and adults
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment
