Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) needed for school-year position. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication needs; developing and implementing IEPs; providing direct therapy in individual, small group, and classroom settings; addressing articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and social communication; collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams; maintaining ISBE/IDEA-compliant records; participating in IEP meetings and evaluations; educating staff and parents on communication strategies; and supporting ongoing student development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
