Job Summary
Provide direct speech-language pathology services in school settings, including conducting assessments to evaluate student needs and developing IEPs and therapy plans. Deliver therapy in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and social communication. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to support student progress; maintain accurate records in line with NCDPI and IDEA guidelines; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions; train and support teachers on speech-language strategies and classroom accommodations. Includes responsibilities for documentation, credential maintenance, and potential professional development reimbursements.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology License
- North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Professional Educator’s License in Speech-Language Pathology (required for school-based positions)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
