Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs, then develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. Provide direct therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom settings while addressing challenges related to articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and social communication. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and maintain accurate records of assessments and progress in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education and IDEA guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and provide consultation as needed. Educate and support staff and parents on strategies to enhance communication skills. Hourly rate range of $55.00-$70.00 per hour with contracts up to 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License
  • Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
