Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders based on physician referrals. Complete comprehensive assessments using appropriate tools, review medical history and precautions, and establish measurable goals to advance patient abilities. Regularly re-assess treatment effectiveness and modify plans as needed. Communicate progress and needs to the treatment team, physicians, families, and funding sources. Submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation in compliance with state, federal, and company regulations. Adhere to Code of Business Conduct, HIPAA, and professional standards. Participate in staff development programs and obtain continuing education. Maintain current Master's degree, unrestricted state license, BLS certification, and one year of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
- Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
- Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification in accordance state regulations
- A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury required
- Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
- Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
