Job Summary
Staff Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats residents, develops individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognition, and functional independence, and maintains documentation in medical records. Provides in-services and training for facility staff, supervises CFY SLPs or students, collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, participates in care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings, and ensures infection control and safety protocols. Education/licensure includes a Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology with state licensure; Master’s/Doctorate preferred. Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care, strong communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams, and ability to coordinate equipment and home exercise programs are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state
- Ability to supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students
- CPR certification if required by licensure
