Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations, assess disorders including dysphagia, and develop individualized plans of care with measurable goals. Provide skilled therapeutic interventions for communication, cognition, and swallowing safety while monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans. Support patients and families in behavioral adaptations, lead discharge planning, and communicate findings to physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ensure compliance with Arizona standards of practice. Requires an active Arizona SLP license, Master's or Doctoral degree, and current CPR/BLS certification. Part-time schedule with predictable hours in a collaborative Skilled Nursing setting in Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Arizona
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the Arizona Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, hospital, or related medical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment
- Capacity to lead by example
- Composure and professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong organizational skills
