Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and implement care for pediatric patients across speech, language, cognition, and swallowing domains. Manage full caseloads including therapy planning, patient/caregiver education, discharge planning, and all ancillary duties such as documentation, billing, and scheduling. Supervise support staff while adhering to ASHA standards, organizational policies, and professional ethics. Flex to other departments when patient needs dictate. Provide staff education, lead committees, and mentor new hires. This role supports Essentia Health's patient-centered mission with a day-shift schedule, weekend on-call rotation, and a career ladder for high performers.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program
- Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
- Schedule is generally Monday - Friday day-shift
- This role includes a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) on-call rotation approximately once every 4–6 weeks
- On-call hours are generally in the mornings, averaging 4–6 hours per day based on census
