Job Summary
Conduct speech-language pathology services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and re-assessment across outpatient settings. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in modifying plans of care based on evolving patient conditions and consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and accurate documentation of patient course, including baseline goals, daily notes, and progress summaries. Manage an accurate schedule, meet productivity expectations, and demonstrate flexibility to ensure frictionless patient access. Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY)
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence
