Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities, then develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results. Provide direct therapy services targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills while incorporating evidence-based techniques. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the educational team to support communication goals in classroom settings, and participate in IEP meetings to provide input on student needs. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed, documenting sessions and reports accurately. Work onsite in Anchorage schools for the 26/27 academic year with full-time hours, starting August 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Current ASHA certification
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting
- Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
