Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) supervises and participates in therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of patients with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders, and oral myofunctional disorders. The SLP directs the Communication Disorders Service Department, provides evaluations and therapy as ordered by referring physicians, and develops appropriate treatment programs. Responsibilities also include planning and executing therapy programs, establishing patient goals, and periodic re-evaluations, as well as participating in training programs for HomeCare personnel. Candidates must hold a master's degree in Speech Pathology, a CCC-SP, and be licensed in their working state. NHC aims to deliver innovative, quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology or its equivalent
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SP) from the American Speech and Hearing Association or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Licensed in the state or states in which he/she will work
