Job Summary
Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist on the Making Waves Academy campus in Richmond, CA. Lead clinician responsible for SLP services for students in grades 5–12, conducting evaluations (CELF-5, CASL-2), designing interventions for adolescents, and implementing AAC to ensure a functional voice. Collaborates with teachers on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), contributes to Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) for students 15+, and manages testing, evaluation, and therapy blocks within the school’s bell schedule. Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations, secondary-level therapy, advocacy, and case management, with a focus on closing the opportunity gap for EL populations and supporting college/workforce trajectories.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or PPS)
- Valid License from the CA SLP & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Pathways to Success (Waiver Candidates considered)
