Job Summary

Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy to students enrolled in Special Education programs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals. Collaborate closely with teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and families to support student success in communication, language, social interaction, and academic readiness skills. Participate in staff meetings to contribute to educational planning and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records. This role supports students with language-based learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder within Manhattan Day School's Special Education team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience working with school-aged children
  • Knowledge of language-based learning disabilities
  • Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Strong Clinical Fellowship
