Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in articulation, fluency, voice, and language. Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans aligned with individualized education program (IEP) goals. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate strategies into the curriculum and contribute to the IEP process by monitoring student progress. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions while participating in team meetings and professional development activities. Provide expertise in assistive technology and mentor assistants or students in the therapy community. Light Street Special Education Solutions, a division of LEARN Academy, partners with schools to improve special education services for children with communication needs using evidence-based practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
- Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
- Maintain license per ASHA requirements
- Current CA Licensure and COC or CTC (or willing to obtain)
- Current negative TB skin test or risk assessment
- Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States
