Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral. Requires MS or MA in Speech Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or eligibility for CFY to earn ASHA credentials, and active state licensure. Essential functions include establishing, assessing, and modifying measurable goals; overseeing and evaluating CFYs (SLP CCCs) when applicable; following approved treatment plans under supervising SLP; charting appropriately; using therapy software; delivering excellent patient service; collaborating on an interdisciplinary team; maintaining confidentiality and compliance with Life Care policies; and demonstrating professional conduct, body mechanics, and safety. Minimal travel not specified; environment includes post-acute care facility operations and community health involvement. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA credentialing (CCCs)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current
