Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with Life Care standards. Responsibilities include establishing, assessing, and modifying realistic, measurable goals; overseeing and evaluating care given by SLP CFYs (for CCCs); following treatment plans for patients under supervision; charting appropriately and timely; utilizing therapy software; delivering excellent customer service; collaborating with an interdisciplinary team; maintaining patient rights, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies; and participating in community health matters/projects as appropriate. Must possess MS or MA in Speech Therapy, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and active licensure; new grads welcome and CPR certification required to remain current. Essential functions also include communication with patients and families, adherence to regulations, and the ability to perform required physical tasks. An Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCC) OR must be eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA certification (CCC) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation; CPR certification must remain current during employment
- One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
