Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include establishing, assessing, and modifying functional goals; charting appropriately; utilizing therapy software; collaborating with an interdisciplinary team; demonstrating professional conduct, patient rights, confidentiality, and compliance with policies; and supporting post-acute care needs. Qualifications include MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, active state licensure, CPR certification, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/email, and strong communication skills. The role may involve supervising CFYs for CCCs (SLP CCCs) and following treatment plans under supervision; familiarity with post-acute care guidelines and compliance training; and ability to participate in community health matters and maintain professional relationships. Location is Life Care Center of McMinnville, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA CCCs
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State; active license in good standing
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current
