Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in a post-acute care setting. Requires MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or eligibility for CFY, active state licensure, and CPR. Responsibilities include developing and implementing therapy plans, charting, collaborating with patients, families, and other departments, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards, supervising CFYs (SLP CFY), and ensuring compliance with laws and Life Care policies. Proficiency in therapy software and Microsoft Office, strong patient service mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MS or MA SLP
- ASHA certified (CCC)
- Active state license
- CPR certification current or during orientation
- 1 year experience preferred or new grads welcome
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/email
- Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of post-acute care facilities
- Ability to read/write/speak English
