Job Summary
Establish, assess, and modify realistic speech therapy goals for patients upon physician referral. Chart appropriately and utilize therapy software to track progress. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to plan care. Participate in community health projects and assist in patient evacuation. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Life Care standards and Code of Conduct. Communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate good body mechanics. Full-time positions offer $42 to $52/hr with a $10,000 sign-on bonus; part-time roles earn $50-$55/hr. Candidates must hold an MS or MA in speech therapy and be ASHA CCCS certified or eligible for the Clinical Fellowship Year. Heritage Park Care Center, part of Life Care Centers of America, provides in-house rehab programs and reimbursed continuing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCCs)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
- Active license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
