Job Summary
Direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients under physician referral in a skilled nursing/post-acute care setting. Requires MS/MA in speech-language pathology and ASHA credentialing (CCC) or CFY eligibility, active state license, and CPR. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, documents patient progress, utilizes therapy software, and adheres to applicable laws and Life Care standards. Provides goals-based therapy, oversees CFYs when applicable, follows treatment plans, ensures patient rights and safety, and maintains confidentiality and professional conduct. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCC) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA CCCs
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active license in good standing
- One year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation
