Job Summary
Provide home-based speech therapy to patients with communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties due to illness or injury. Conduct patient assessments, document progress, and ensure goals are met while assisting with exercises for fluency, articulation, and reading. Work as part of a multidisciplinary home health team to support the patient's plan of care. Educate patients and families on safety practices and self-care. Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology, active Colorado license, one year of experience, and CPR certification. Visit rates range from $75 to $125 per visit.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Colorado
- Minimum of one (1) year of speech therapy experience
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Good clinical judgement
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong communicator
- Empathy and compassion
- Pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
