Job Summary
Provide home-based speech therapy to patients with communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties due to illness or injury. Conduct patient assessments, document progress, and ensure goals are met while observing and evaluating swallowing and processing abilities. Assist with mouth, breathing, and swallowing exercises, fluency, articulation, and reading, and educate patients and families on safety practices and self-care. Work as part of a home health team including RNs, LPNs, and therapists focused on the patient's plan of care. Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Arizona
- Minimum of one (1) year of speech therapy experience
- CPR Certification
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Card
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Good clinical judgement
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong communicator
- Empathy and compassion
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug test
