Job Summary
Evaluate, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders as ordered by physician. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase client independence, provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive or language comprehension disorders, and train clients, families, and caregivers. Coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures such as MBSS and FEES, supervise provisional licensees and students, and ensure accurate billing and clinical documentation. Perform screening rounds to assess client needs and environmental safety, while offering recommendations for business improvement and safety updates to the Director of Rehab.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Speech Therapy License
- Current ASHA certification
- Knowledge of current Speech Therapy practices and procedures including laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities

- Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required
