Job Summary
Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders while assessing home environments for equipment needs. Develop and implement individualized, physician-approved plans of care with measurable therapy goals, including dysphagia therapy and diet modifications. Train patients and caregivers on AAC devices and home exercise programs, then monitor progress to adjust care plans. Submit accurate clinical documentation per JCAHO standards and collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT, OT, and other team members through care conferences. Requires Master's degree, CCC-SLP certification, active license, one year clinical experience, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an ASHA-approved Speech-Language Pathology program, including the required clinical internship, or as mandated by applicable law and/or regulation
- Meets all education and experience requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA
- Active certification to practice Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience
- Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment in a clinical role
- Valid driver's license and properly insured personal vehicle
