Job Summary
Provide in-home speech-language therapy to patients under physician oversight. Evaluate and treat language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive-communication difficulties, voice disorders, and those requiring augmentative/alternative communication (AAC). Work with patients who have experienced a stroke and with progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia within home health settings (single or multi-family homes, assisted living, independent living, or memory care). Requires a valid SLP license in the state of employment, as well as a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to travel to patient homes.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an SLP in the State of Employment
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Must possess automobile liability insurance
- Must wear seat belts at all times while driving
- Dependable transportation kept in good working condition
- Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
