Job Summary
Conduct home visits to clients in Pitt, Craven, and Beaufort counties to perform evaluations, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. Develop and continuously revise treatment plans based on physician orders and multidisciplinary care goals. Educate patients and family members on rehabilitative care to promote independent living while accurately documenting observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet. Requires a current North Carolina SLP license and solid computer skills; ideal for candidates with 1-2 days per week availability willing to travel across designated territories.
Required Qualifications
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association
- Have the equivalent educational requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and work experience necessary for such a certificate, and be awaiting the opportunity to take the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association examination for certification
- Have completed the necessary work and education requirements, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, and be in the process of accumulating the necessary supervised work experience required for certification
- Solid computer skills
- 1-2 days per week availability
- Willing to travel to all counties
