Job Summary
Evaluate patients' communication deficits, hearing, and swallowing function to develop individualized plans of care and treatment goals. Complete initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments, then teach task-oriented therapeutic activities to improve language production, speech, and communication strategies. Regularly assess patient status changes, modify service plans as needed, and obtain revised physician orders. Prepare detailed documentation of treatments and progress reports, advise families on discharge planning, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of South Carolina
- Two (2) years of relevant experience as an SLP within the last five (5) years
